Girls Aloud - The B-Sides Collection

It seems everyone here is enjoying Girls Aloud (Jake, lol). Anyway, I came across this massive collection of b-sides, rare tracks and other tracks that didn't make any album. This collection contains some great covers like "Rehab" and "I Predict A Riot" and other great tracks that deserved to be featured on the albums like "Dog Without A Bone", "You Freak Me Out" and "Why Do It". Also, some of the live songs are in MQ. To get them all into iPod format I had to put them onto two discs.

All files are in m4a iPod format.

Kylie Minogue - Unused Tracks From "X" + Bonus Tracks

When Britney Spears took two years and some months to make "Blackout" and had like eight unused tracks, I thought "Wow. Hardworking girl." But in researching for this post I'm sorry, but Kylie Minogue could have made two albums in the time it took her to make "X". Below, first, are the totally unused tracks (although they're probably bonus tracks in Japan. Isn't that always how it is?) followed by what I know of are the b-sides to her singles, and the bonus tracks in Europe.

Feel free to correct or request adds to this post, since everytime I did some digging a new song popped up I'm sure there are more lingering out there. Considering I'm not a Kylie fanatic, I'm sure some of these songs are like a single she released in Australia in the 90s or something. Haha.

My personal favorites are "King Or Queen", "Rippin' Up The Disco", and "Excuse My French".

All files are in m4a iPod format.

Spell Of Desire
In The Mood For Love
(Everything) I Know
Love Is The Drug
Excuse My French
When The Cats Away
I Am Ready
Fall For You
I Don't Know
Lose Control
Do It Again
Carried Away
Rippin' Up The Disco

Confirmed b-sides and bonus tracks:
Cherry Bomb
Magnetic Electric
King Or Queen

The Saturdays - Up (Loop)

With the minute clip that leaked a couple days ago, someone on YouTube created an amazing intro and looped the clip to sound like a real song, starting with the chorus, going into the verse, bridge, and chorus, repeating it again, and ending with the bridge and chorus, adding in a bit of the live version. The video is amazing, as well. In less than a day, too, the video was taken down, but I was fast and ripped the audio for you readers.

Girls Aloud - The Tangled Up Tour: Studio Version

I found this little bit while searching for Girls Aloud songs. By the way, I have to thank Sam for getting me into GA; I've been on a downloading rampage ever since I heard "Can't Speak French". Amazing stuff, those girls.

Anyways, here are the studio version of most of the songs the Girls performed while on their Tangled Up tour this past May. I'm assuming the five missing songs didn't have any changes added to them.

Hayden Panettiere - Wake Up Call

You know Hayden as the damned cheerleader that just will not die on the television show Heroes. However, like all young starlets today, it's either rehab or a music career (or in most cases both with a chaser of lesbian) and that's just fine. So why should our little Hayden be any different?

At least she's doing it under the pretense of a commercial deal with Candies. However, "Wake Up Call" is not a song destined for pop greatness and factory processed into a pretty little package. Don't get me wrong - great song! It's just not fake. It seems Hayden is taking it in a bit of a different direction. The song is very reggae-sounding. It's different. It's chill. It's hammocks. You know?

Donnie Klang - Just A Rolling Stone (Leaks)

Making The Band 4's Donnie Klang will be releasing his debut album "Just A Rolling Stone" in August, and eight tracks (of nineteen supposedly confirmed?) have leaked recently. Some of them are really good, including my favorite "The Rain".

All files are in m4a iPod format.

Lisa Scott-Lee - Never Or Now

Lisa Scott-Lee is a British pop singer who started out with the British pop group Steps and went on to try her hand at a solo career. On "Never Or Now", Scott-Lee does what she does best: pop music. It is such syrupy pop that you cannot help but dance and shake, and then curse yourself for doing such!

But seriously, it's really neat dance music. She is in the same sexy/dark/pop vein as the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, and the Saturdays; in that infectious British-super-pop genre. I mean, look at some of the song titles! I like "Electric", "Rush", and "Obscenely Delicious."

TMI Pick: "Electric"

All files are in m4a iPod format.

1. Lately
2. Too Far Gone
3. Electric
4. Back In Time
5. Obscenely Delicious
6. Boy On The Dance Floor
7. Give You My Love
8. Make It Last Forever
9. Sleazy
10. I'll Wait For You
11. You're No Good For Me
12. Rush
13. Never Or Now

Heloise And The Savoir Faire - Trash, Rats, And Microphones

So I know that many may not have heard of them, but Heloise And The Savoir Faire are so fun. I found their album at a used album store up by my former college. I would go there with $20 and leave with like 10 CDs I'd never heard of. It was my idea of a fun event. I know. Slightly sad.

Heloise And The Savoir Faire remind me of like The Ting Tings and old skool Goldfrapp. They're refreshing and different. Just to change things up. "Trash, Rats, And Microphones" is what I would describe as an electronic/rock album. Something to rock out to when life isn't as pretty as it is in your dreams.

So give them a try if you like the description above! You won't be sorry.

TMI Pick: "Odyle"

All files are in m4a iPod format.

1. Illusions
2. Members Only
3. Pick & Choose
4. Datsun 280z

6. Disco Heaven

10. Canadian Changs
11. Giving You The Bizness
12. Odyle

Lady GaGa - Leaks From "Fame"

While I can't speak for everyone I can say that I am thoroughly excited for Lady GaGa's debut album "Fame" to drop. She just seems so refreshing and so different, and I always love discovering artists that take music to the next level. I think she might be one of those kinds of artists.

An earlier post has five leaked songs from her album, and now I'm here to bring you four more! My personal favorite is "Love Games". She references a "disco stick". Teehee.

Are you excited for the Lady GaGa album?

All files are in m4a iPod format.

Again Again
Disco Heaven
Paparazzi
Love Games

Enjoy!

Kat DeLuna - Calling You

I'll be honest: when her first song "Whine Up" became really big, I was one of those people that totally thought while it was fun, it smelt of a one-hit wonder in the making. I was mistaken, and I'm glad I was. Kat DeLuna has dropped a new song; not from her debut album "9 Lives"; which means there must be a sophomore album in the works.

As if that wasn't good enough, the new song is good and fun and summery and uplifting. And we all love a summery uplifting song, right?

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium (2 CD Set)

"Stadium Arcadium" is the legendary band Red Hot Chili Peppers' ninth album. The album became number one on the Billboard 200 the first week it was released and sold over 500,000 copies in the US. "Stadium Arcadium" became the band's most best album in the twenty-five-plus years of their career, as they were nominated for SEVEN categories during the Grammy Awards.

Now, I don't know if it was like that in the US too, but here in Canada, the cover of "Stadium Arcadium" appeared in a lot of commercials and magazines promoting music (Wal-Mart, iTunes, etc). I love the songs "Stadium Arcadium", "Hump De Bump", "Warlocks", "C'mon Girl", "Desecration Smile", "Tell Me Baby", "21st Century", "Made You Feel Better", "So Much I" and "Death Of A Martian".

*The links better last because I really don't want to re-upload 28 songs.*

Britney Spears - Born To Make You Happy (Remix)

So whilst going through my CD collection, I found one of my first ever singles I bought. Released in 1999, Britney's third UK single "Born To Make You Happy" contained a bonus remix of the song. It sounds really good and it sounds much better than the original. Tell us what you think of it.

The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing

A friend of mine asked for this ages ago and I forgot to post it. One of the biggest bands of 2008 so far are the Ting Tings, well known for the song "Shut Up And Let Me Go" that is featured in one of the latest iPod commercials. They have had a UK number one with the single "That's Not My Name" and the album went to number one straight in the UK chart.

The album contains a good mix of pop and rock hits including "Fruit Machine", "Keep Your Head" and "Great DJ", it also has one or two slow tracks like "We Walk" and "Be The One". It's a funky album, perfect for any pop fan.

TMI Pick: "That's Not My Name"

All files are in m4a iPod format.

1. Great DJ

10. We Started Nothing

McFly - Radio:Active (Mail On Sunday Free Version)

You've been waiting a while for this and so have I! These ten amazing songs are a preview of the deluxe edition of their new album Radio:Active which will be in stores by the end of September. You've all heard their first single "One For The Radio" and the acoustic version of "Do Ya" (over 100 downloads!). The track "Everybody Knows" is very special because it has a old rock style that you just can't ignore! The song "Smile" passes from breezy/jazzy to having an humongous smile on your face.

I think the reason why this album is SO good is because they all sing along with great enthusiasm. "POV" is a more breezy song that is accompanied by the piano. Their thirteenth single called "The Heart Never Lies" also appears in their hits compilation "All The Greatest Hits". I love "The Last Song" because the genre goes up and down like roller coaster (slow beginning and ending followed with a rocking chorus).

All files are in m4a iPod format.

1. Do Ya
2. Falling In Love
3. Everybody Knows
4. Smile
5. One For The Radio
6. POV
7. Corrupted
8. The Heart Never Lies
9. Going Through The Motions
10. The Last Song

Katharine McPhee - I Will Be There With You

Remember Katharine McPhee? The runner-up of the fifth season of American Idol, who was dropped from her record label in January, has just released this awesome new song for a Japanese airline commercial. Produced by David Foster, this song is a perfect showcase of her soaring vocals.
